The antonymous compound word,is constituted by two monosyllabic morphemes which are opposite or contrary in their meanings.which is the basic way to express the contradiction in Chinese.According to the Contemporary Chinese Dictionary(sixth edition)and Chinese level vocabulary and Chinese characters outline(1-6 level),this dissertation first adds up the total amount of antonymous compound words on the contemporary Chinese plane,then it investigates the characteristics of antonymous compound words from the aspects of phonetics,semantic and grammar.In other words,they have same and different tone about voice;and the words have rich semantic structure,various meanings and emotional coloring about phonetics;and they have a homogeneous and heterogeneous relation about grammar.Based on the ontology research,this dissertation reveals the important role and significance of antonymous compound words in the process of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,it not only enriches the knowledge of Chinese language learners,but also improves the students’ ability of language performance and communicative competence.However,on the other side,it is not an easy task to acquire antonymous compound words,In the dissertation,a test on the acquisition of antonymous compound words was carried out at the Thailand high school,which has many problems in the pronunciation,meaning of morphemes and words,judging its part of speech,ordering the morphemes,pragmatics,was identified for Chinese language learners whose mother tongue is Thai.in order to overcome these acquisition problems,to achieve the effective teaching of antonymous compound words.This dissertation puts forward to use reasonable teaching methods and provides reasonable suggestions from many perspectives of ontology theory,teaching skills,learning attitude,materials development,theory of teaching methods.
