Study On The Forming And Realization Mechanism Of Japanese Universities' Social Service Function

The connection between universities and the society has been deepened since the modernindustrial revolution,and universities has begun to undertake the responsibility of creating knowledge and promoting social advancement.In the era of knowledge economy,knowledge has become an important determinant of social development.The realization of the three functions of universities,which are the origin of knowledge,is deeply connected to the advancement of society.Since the reform and opening up policy,the interaction between Chinese society and universities has become more and more close.As the idea of reform and social concept of the country being updated constantly,the development of modern society is not separable from the social services provided by the university.With the rapid development of higher education in our country,the voices and demands of asking the university to provide services to the society gradually increase.The new demands of the transforming society and the pressure of competition between universities make the emphasis on the social service function of the university become an inevitable trend.The question of how to fulfill the social service function according to the needs of society based on universities' features needs to be paid more attention.This paper chooses Japan,which has a similar historical and cultural background as China,as the object of study,and analyzes the forming and realization mechanism of its universities' social service function in order to find the characteristics of the social service function of Japanese universities,to draw lessons from its successful experience to promote the building of Chinese universities' social service function system,and to drive the development of China's higher education theory and the development of a harmonious society.This paper is divided into five chapters.The first chapter determines the research problem,research purposes and the research significance,and defines the relevant concepts,and then reviews relevant researches.The second chapter finds out the background of the formation of social service function of Japanese universities and the dual motive forces of both inside and outside.The third chapter focuses on using the method of process of tracking and finding the key nodes to find out the stage of the formation of social service functions of Japanese universities,and analyzes the institutional activists and institutionalized models to study the institutionalization process of the formation of social service functions in Japaneseuniversities.The fourth chapter chooses two universities,the University of Tokyo and Kansai University,which are different from each other in the management mode of operation and management and are from different areas,as the case study of the realization of Japanese universities' social service function.Chapter 5 draws some valid enlightenment and advices.
