A Research On Building Of Social Service Functions Of Qinhuangdao Institute Of Technology

With higher vocational education and socio-economic restructuring, vocational colleges in our country are playing an increasingly important role in promoting economic and social development process. In the spirit of “Service for the purpose of employment-oriented”, higher vocational colleges are taking the initiative to connect with market demand to change the interaction in seeking win-win cooperation. The ability of social services improves significantly. Higher vocational colleges have become an important force to build our country into great power in human resources and to realize “Chinese Dream”.It is a starting and ending point for vocational colleges to enhance the comprehensive strength of running school and to achieve sustainable development by carrying out community services. As one of the one-hundred key vocational college construction unit, Qinhuangdao Institute of Technology has taken a bold exploration and practice in building social service functions, and accumulated a wealth of experience to provide an effective reference for others to building social service functions of higher vocational college. It is responsibility and mission for vocational colleges to perform social services. Vocational colleges require innovative institutional mechanisms to build a social service platform in making vocational colleges into a truly “service station” in making economic and social development and an “engine” in promoting economic restructuring. This article focuses on the analysis of social service functions that vocational colleges perform on the basis of main contents, status quo, and problems exist. And it has been studied on the case of building of social service functions that Qinhuangdao Institute of Technology has performed. Some specific policy and proposals have been put forward in building social service functions for Qinhuangdao Institute of Technology.Some methods are used such as literature research, case analysis and causal analysis to study problems occurred in the process of vocational college social servi ce. With the training objectives of vocational colleges and the social demands, and from the perspective of sustainable development and promote economic restructuring of vocational colleges, The specific measures and ways have been discussed for vocational college social service functions.
