Western Pragmatism On College Students' Values And Guiding Countermeasures

Foreign social trends,cultural ideas also will be influx of our country along with the unceasing evolution of the Reform and Opening Process,college students have the opportunity to accept foreign channels through a variety of ways.College students are active in mind,eager to learn all the new things.So it is easy for college students to accept the subtle influence of foreign channels unconsciously.College ideological work suffered a severe test,college students' values also will be affected.And Western Pragmatism as one of the main ideas affecting Chinese college students.It has a complex social impact for Chinese college students' values.The study of the influence of Western Pragmatism on college students' values and directing countermeasures has become a principal problem in university's ideological and political education.This article attempt to analyze the Western Pragmatism and summarize the Western Pragmatism with the Marxist view.This paper analyzes the causes of the influence of Western Pragmatism on the influence of college students' values,analyzes the causes of the affect of Western Pragmatism on the conformation of students' values from the perspectives of society,families,schools and individuals,and finally puts forward the idea of strengthening ideal faith education of college students,Play a leading role in school education,create a good family education environment,open self-education and other countermeasures to enhancing the effectiveness of the socialist core values education to resist the Western Pragmatism on the adverse effects of college students' values.
