There has great potential,vast market in China’s traditional handicraft industry,but faces the crisis of talents and skills lost.Talents are an important human resource for sustainable development of economy and society.The inheritance,protection and innovation of traditional handicrafts need to cultivate a group of inheritors who are versed in art skills and the spirit of handicraft,and help them survive in the economic society.In this regard,the state introduces a number of policy included the establishment of skill master studio to crack this problem.Skill master studio can be divided into four classes: enterprise,institution,traditional workshop and alliance.Taking into account of the educational characteristics of vocational education : purposeful,designedly and organically cultivating crowds of "professional talents".Therefore,hundreds of collegiate skill master studios come into being around the nation.Strengthening the construction of these studies is on one hand good for teaching craft manship and cultivating,on the other side conductive to technological development,subject research,improving the team and promoting colleges to form school-running character.this paper focuses on the operation of vocational college skills master studio and select the master station of Ye Shuiyun,the Xiangxi National Vocational and Technical College of Jishou City,Hunan Province as the research object.The running status of the master studio of professional skills in vocational colleges holds lessons for the cultivation,protection and innovation of traditional handicrafts in China,and the cultivation of high-skilled talents,the scientific construction and connotation development of master craftsmen,the improvement of education management in local vocational colleges,the formation of school characteristics.On the basis of the theory of situational learning,learning organization theory and the system organization theory,this paper expounds the basic elements,functions and internal and external conditions of the master studio in vocational college,and constructs the realizing mechanism of the master studio in the vocational college.with the combinations of questionnaires,interviews,case studies and non-participatory observation,author investigated and analyzed the process of development,the basic elements,positioning and common vision,educational practice management,performance appraisal and operation effect of Ye Shuiyun master studio in Hunan Xiangxi vocational school,The study found that: with the sufficient external conditions in operation,Ye Shuiyun master studio education practice management has achieved initial results and has a distinct social leading effect.However the studio is also facing a lot of difficulties: First,inadequate education funding.Second,the performance appraisal system is not sound enough.Third,the lack of cooperation mechanism with social groups(organizations).Fourth,the lack of talent training.Fifth,the teacher is relatively weak.These problems hinder the sustainable development of the studio,and the main reason is that the internal and external conditions are not sufficient.To improve the operation of vocational college skills master studio,we must start from the following aspects: First,construct an external support system what administrative departments,schools,industry and enterprises could be participate in.Second,improve the studio’s own operating system,including extending the sources of teachers,bettering intellectual cultivation system,strengthening self-evaluation,integrating the interest between studio,cohesive whole,and personal,improving the studios’ management model,and being provided with full-time personnel according to job demands.Third,increase publicity efforts to enhance the studio’s social influence. |
