With the debut of Cloud Computing,Big Data,and Internet Plus,education innovation,as a powerful engine for China's development,is playing an increasingly important role in the country.As is known to all,as a developing country with a large population,China is relatively low in its average resources per capita affluent natural resources in spite of its vast land rich in various resources.Therefore,to meet this chalenge,we have to upgrade our education by enhancing students' innovativeness and creativity and strengthening their abilities in these aspects----an urgent task in such an age when new technologies and products are appearing with each passing day.Otherwise,we would lag far behind in the modern society.The Scratch-based maker activity in primary school computer course can arouse the pupils' interest in learning and cultivate their innovativeness and their creative thinking as well as their handson skills and computer literacy.In this thesis,literature research,questionnaire,and case study are used to study the Maker activities through computer technology in primary school.First of all,large amounts of literatures concerning the Maker and Maker education,some of which are related to Scratch-based teaching,are collected and analyzed so as to obtain information about the current situation of Scratch study at home and abroad.Second,a sampling survey is conducted of Class Z in Grade Six of Primary School Y,City X.,The author's general understanding of the current teaching situation in Class Z before the beginning of the Maker Activities lays a foundation for the design of the Scratchbased primary school information technology course.After that,Maker Activities are designed according to the pupils' learning levels and then applied to classroom teaching.Lastly,a satisfaction survey for the Maker Activities is conducted among the pupils of Class Z,so as to know whether these activities can enhance pupils' interest and improve their innovative abilities in learning the course of information technology or not.This research is of some value to further studies on Maker activities through computer technology in primary school.The findings of this research are: Scratch-based Maker Activities in primary school can improve pupils' learning interests and their hands-on skills;they are advantageous to motivating pupils to explore themselves and to communicate,cooperate,and share with each other;they can cultivate pupils' creative thinking and innovative ability;and they can further improve the pupils' computer literacy.This research is of referential value to the construction of a Maker system in the country and to the design of Maker activities.Besides,it is of practical significance to the implementation of Maker activities in primary school.
