| Quite a number of studies have shown that homework can help teachers know students’ learning in classes.And homework also can improve students’ grades,and cultivate students’ other abilities.Correcting English homework with scientific method can arouse students’ interests in learning English,develop students’ independent learning ability.If teachers couldn’t use proper ways to correct the mistakes in students’ English homework,it will motivate the students’ enthusiasm of learning,and restrict students’ healthy growth.This thesis selects English homework in junior high school as a starting point,involving the correction issues of junior high school English homework,in order to find out the problems of English homework correction and offer some strategic suggestions to junior high school English teachers.This study is divided into six chapters.The first chapter is introduction,including reasons of subject selection,the significance of the research and research contents.The second chapter is literature review,including domestic and abroad research,and the theoretical basis of this research.The third chapter of this research is research method,including research objects,instruments and questions of the research.The fourth chapter is to find out the form of English homework from questionnaire,interview of teachers,and samples of junior high school English homework.The fifth chapter analyzes and discusses the findings of the research,and gives some suggestions and guidance to English teachers according to the problems of English homework correction.The sixth chapter is conclusion.The major findings of this research: There are a lot of deficiencies in correction of junior high schools’ English homework.The subjects of correction are too simple.The correcting symbols are lack of humanity.The concerns of correction are too narrow.And homework correction lacks revising guidance and reflection on issues in it.Hence,English teachers should make appropriate improvements to homework correction. |
