| Currently,Chinese education system is shifting from exam-oriented mode to diathesis mode under the new curriculum reformation,so it is necessary to cultivate the scientific literacy of middle school students during chemical teaching process.However,middle school students mainly learn chemistry by memorizing mechanically due to short learning time,great task,heavy pressure of senior high school entrance examination etc.Hence,teachers often neglecte the scientific literacy(such as experimental skills,manipulative ability,and innovational consciousness)in the chemical class.Few editors advocate chemical enlightenment education before the ninth grade,which can stimulate students’ chemical interest and curiosity and make students learn basic chemistry knowledge by simple and interesting experiments.Now,there are no systemic study on the chemical experiments for enlightenment education.In this paper,the importance and necessity of the chemical experiments on enlightenment education is introduced.These experiments are closely connected with life,simple and interesting because seven-grade and eight-grade students have no chemical knowledge and instruments.A series of experiments are devised in our paper to stimulate students’ interest and curiosity of chemistry,increased their environmental awareness and safety consciousness,and so on.The experiments are often carried out during the extracurricular time,so school leaders,chemical teachers and parents should strongly support students.In addition,the teachers should give every student the right evaluation on his experimental ability.After these experiments were practically applied in the middle school,students liked them very much and provided good evaluation.We hope that more editors and teachers pay great attention to the chemical enlightenment education,and devise much more experiments for the seven-grade and the eight-grade students. |
