The 21 st century is the century of science and technology,the talent are the powerful guarantee for building a strong and internationally competitive modern country.As the advanced stage of national education,postgraduate education plays a very important role in the development of talents.However,when we were excited for having trained a large number of outstanding talents,academic fraud,plagiarism and other academic misconduct were repeated frequently.How to effectively reduce the academic misconduct of graduate students has become a hot issue in the theoretical circles and educational circles.As the main person in charge of graduate education,it is no doubt that the teacher's behavior will have a subtle influence on the graduate students.However,previous studies rather than from the perspective of empirical research to investigate the influence of mentoring on postgraduate academic misconduct and through what path influence postgraduate academic misconduct.Moreover,it did not reveal which variable affected the process.This article from an empirical point,discussed the mechanism of effects of mentoring on graduate students academic misconduct.Based on theoretical analysis,this paper build a theory model that tutor as the independent variables,research self-efficacy and academic ideal as the intermediary variable,postgraduate academic misconduct as the dependent variable,proactive personality as the moderating variable and used statistical analysis software SPSS16.0 and structural equation modeling software AMOS17.0 to carry on the data processing of 516 effective questionnaires.Statistical analysis methods include descriptive statistics,reliability analysis,confirmatory factor analysis,correlation analysis,regression analysis and theoretical model.Moreover,this paper discussed the demonstration results.The results of this study are as follows:(1)The mentoring negatively impact graduate students' academic misconduct.The conclusions show that,as the tutors have profound academic accomplishments,rigorous educational standards and high moral character,they guide students to observe and practice.Over the time,the spirit of disciplining one-selves of tutors becomes their students learning and ultimately reduces academic misconduct.(2)Research self-efficacy and academic ideals have partial mediating role between tutor's guidance and graduate academic misconduct.The conclusions show that the mentoring through two different paths to impact academic misconduct.On one hand,tutors can increase the research ability of graduate students and enhance their self-efficacy,which cause students not to implement academic misconduct.on the other hand,mentoring can make the graduate students recognize scientific research values,and the formation of higher level of academic ideal,which cause them to fail to implement academic misconduct.In other words,the mediating role of research self-efficacy reflects "the ability",namely,mentoring make the graduate students can do research,self-confidence promotes the graduate students not to need academic misconduct;academic ideal intermediary role reflects "the view of faith",that is,mentoring makes graduate students understand the true meaning and significance of research,promoting graduate students not to need academic misconduct.Of course,the part of intermediary role of research self-efficacy and academic ideal show that the direct impact of mentoring is very important,but also show that there are other intermediaries such as "dare not".(3)Proactive personality has no moderating role between self-efficacy and academic ideal for mentoring,but proactive personality is positive correlation with self-efficacy and academic ideals and negative correlation with academic misconduct.The conclusion shows that the proactive personality students do not like passively accept the guidance of tutors and do things have their own opinions.Moreover,their superb skills and problem solving skills as well as academic interest make themselves have a high self-efficacy and academic ideals.The implementation of academic misconduct is not necessary,but also profane for their ideals,so with a high degree of initiative personality of graduate students will reduce academic misconduct.
