Biology is the frontier science in the 21st century, it demonstrates good prospects in all aspects of social production and people’s lives. In biology teaching, biological experiment as one of the important practical forms of theoretical knowledge, plays an important part role in the cultivation of the students’ biological science literacy. With the development of the new curriculum concept, We come to realize that the ultimate goal of teaching is the lifelong development of students, let them get some abilities to survive in the society such as autonomous learning ability, cooperating with others and so on. "The ultimate goal of education is to help students become independent and self-discipline learners",the book "Learn to teaching" says. And the premise of becoming self-discipline learners is to have a strong learning motivation for knowledge. In educational psychology, learning motivation as one of the important non-intellectual factors that influence the students’autonomous learning and pursuit of their own development, is getting more and more attention of educational workers.The thesis concludes the current situation of biological experimental teaching in high school by combing related literature and theoretical analysis, and then gets knowledge of the state of high school students’learning motivation in biological experimental class through investigating.Based on this, the writer draws lessons from ARCS motivational design mode, which is put forward by J.M.Keller, who is an associate professor of Instructional Systems at University of south Florida, Then regulates the process of experimental teaching and carries on biological experimental teaching design integrated into motivational strategies with the guidance of new curriculum concept. And then takes teaching research in classes in order to grope for strategies of improving students’learning motivation of biological experiments and to promote the effectiveness of the biological experimental teaching, which will not only glow the vitality of biological experimental class, but also provide some experiences for biological teachers.The results of the study show that biological experimental classes are arranged less in most high school at present, and the teaching model is traditional stereotype, the quality of experimental teaching design is poor,which makes students have poor attitude towards biological experiment and the learning motivation is generally low. Good teaching results have been achieved by biological experimental teaching based on ARCS motivational design mode in high school, not only have the students’learning motivation for biological experiment and the academic record been improved much, but also the students’ biological science literacy get much cultivation and training. |
