In science education, the discussion of scientific history has always been a hot topic.There are two reasons, explaining it ,on one hand , in recent years, all countries in the world have made clear requirements for the development of civic scientific literacy; on the other hand, the educational value of the science history has been widely recognized by all walks of life. Among them, the emphasis on the promotion of civic science literacy lies in the effect of the implementation of basic science education. Primary and secondary school students as a citizen of the new era, it is the science education they aceept in the basic education stage that will affect their lifelong scientific literacy level.Because the content of science history in science education can help students realize the essence of science,understand scientific methods and cultivate critical spirit of questioning. As an important tool in science education,the history of science textbooks for content presentation is related to the value of textbooks for students, the construction of scientific knowledge of students, cultural literacy and grasp teaching content by teachers and so on. Hence, it is very meaningful to analyze the presentation of the science history in junior middle school science textbooks.This paper chooses the research object that is "science" textbook in the compulsory education of Zhejiang version and the "scientific explorer "of the American junior middle school science textbook, and analyzes the present situation of the scientific history in the two sets of textbooks. Basis on a great number of theoretical research, this article use the content analysis method to analyze the content of science history of two sets of textbooks respectively. In the light of the existing analytical categories in the relevant research, we have developed a research tool——."Table of Contents of Scientific History of Junior Middle School in Science Textbook" .The main analysis categories include: layout,material selection,learning activities; the main analysis category includes a number of sub-class analysis and specific operational definition,we analysis the science history in the textbook to summarize features the Content of Science History in "science ".Textbooks of Zhejiang version And puts forward suggestions on the preparation of science textbooks in China, compared with the American "scientific explorers",meanwhile, from the perspective of teachers, we come up with the reference opinions on the classroom teaching and career development.The main conclusions of this paper are as follows: (1) In the present content of scientific history in "science" Textbooks of Zhejiang version, the content of science history is too few and the position is more in the non-text part; the selection of scientists and scientific events is wide, focus on cultivating humanistic literacy ; but history of science-related learning activities in textbook are generally to learn voluntary for students,and the form of activities is single. (2) the preparation of China’s junior high school science textbook recommendations : compliers of China’s junior high school sicence textbooks need to pay attention to expand the history of science content , the special column of scientific history should be added; the narration of scientific history needs to be vivid and living; the design of learning activities in scientific history needs to be hierarchical. (3) view of the implementation of scientific history education for junior middle school science teachers: teachers should take notice of the history of science education in the teaching process , make good use of material about the history of science ;strengthen their humanistic quality, enrich the history of science knowledge.
