A Research On Discipline Affair Of Chinese Independent School In Malaysia

In this competitive education and technology era,teenagers are easily influenced by many factors.School's disciplinary affair thus plays an important role in tackling such issues.The basics of morality,disciplinary and counseling research used in both local and foreign schools are referred to in this study with Yu Yuan Secondary School as a research model.In light of the author's experience in discipline affair for more than ten years,the issues on the development of disciplinary affair in Chinese Independent School is analyzed and discussed.This research first identified the basis of the issue,that is to come up with a solution to identify both the source and remedy,and to establish a new front for the disciplinary affair in independent school;effective moral education and to arouse learning abilities among students;creating a full vitality campus culture;to cultivate an awareness on the importance of discipline with counseling among teachers in order to achieve a model for teaching students;to strengthen the campus through disciplinary measures using different methodologies.These methodologies are conducted base on literature methodology,investigation methodology,observation methodology and experience methodology.After establishing the concept of discipline with counseling,we moved on to the overview of this research,analyzing overseas research on moral education and the disciplinary affair within our own country.We look into the disciplinary affair in independent schools,focusing on the nurturing of moral values,so as to inculcate an attitude of servicing others leading to a lifestyle of good habits.The research will also focus on the current situation in discipline affair in independent schools,using Yu Yuan Secondary School as a model.From the analysis of the 2015 record of merits and demerits on students,the following conclusions were derived:problems existing among teachers,students and parents,school and teachers,family and the society.These problems include the lack of moral values in students,the inability to counter failures,addiction to the internet;the school and teachers are not too concerned about disciplinary affair;parents are overly concerned about children's results and neglect the development of their characters;bad influence from the society.The research then looks at the cause of this problem from students,teachers,schools,family and society.To reform the approach to effective disciplinary affair,the following principles are taken into consideration:to nurture a person,to counsel,to teach by being a role model,to view the equal importance of discipline and counseling through punishments and recognitions.It is hope that through such implementation,we can cultivate a campus culture with good morals and teachers support.The goal of this research is to create an effective and strong disciplinary and counseling front for independent schools in nurturing students in positive ways.
