| In recent years,the effect of stress on modern people’s emotions has become a significant issue the scholars focus on.Stress can affect man’s thinking,feeling and actions.For university students,the stress they face results from not only competition,interpersonal communication,family life and cross-gender intercommunication,but uncertainty of employment development in future.However,under the same stress,emotion regulation ability and environmental adaptability vary among individuals.It is the abilities that can help individuals effectively adapt to study and life stress,get rid of bad emotions for ensuring their physical and psychological health.Although there are a certain number of researches on stress issue of university students in academic community,the ones focusing on agricultural university students are quite few.At this background,this study chose students in Nanjing Agricultural University as participants,intended to explore stress sources in agricultural university students and their stress-coping strategies and further analyze the existing differences.It can be helpful to have a knowledge of the stress those students face and do a better job in student ideological education,management and counsel.Stress can affect students’ actions but its sources are various such as economic factor,study and personal condition.Therefore,this thesis firstly introduces stress sources in agricultural university students,which can be concluded from previous studies as family,economy,interpersonal communication,personal condition,study and employment.The data was collected through questionnaires we designed and issued to the university students.After calculating statistics of questionnaires,we qualitatively analyzed their stress sources and stress-coping strategies mainly from following aspects:the difference of stress sources of agricultural university students between genders and years respectively,and that of stress-coping strategies between genders and years respectively.On this basis,we carried out an empirical analysis of text in order to match four coping strategies with corresponding stress sources by the way of multiple regression analysis.The empirical results showed that when the students face up with stress in economy,employment and personal condition they tend to try to reduce stress by adopting different coping strategies such as problem-solving,procrastinating and accepting or self-adapting.In conclusion,based on the empirical analysis above some suggestions in the six aspects were provided.In the aspect of employment,agricultural universities need to set up related career development planning courses and the whole society should change their biased perception against agriculture.In the aspect of personal condition,students of agricultural universities should focus on their own psychological health,and try to strengthen stress-coping ability.In the aspect of interpersonal communication,students should seek psychological counseling in time while mastering interpersonal skills in a proper way.In study,agricultural universities should offer more care and guidance to college students,encourage academic research on stress issue,and set up related ideological and political education courses.From the perspective of family,those college students need to get more support and care for agriculture,considered as a special major,from their families,and make efforts to improve the way they communicate with their families.Finally,with regards to economy,agricultural universities need to further improve subsidy system and help students develop proper ideas and views. |
