This study analyzes and discusses the level of subjective well-being of urban and rural residents and the similarities and differences between factors,examine the causes of activity theory,theory of social comparison theory and expectations,the applicability of the theory of consumer behavior.Based on existing theories and findings from this study variables including marital status,employment status,income,comparing the results of the self and compare the results with others,control variables,including gender,age and educational level;dependent variable is the level of subjective well-being.This study focuses on the analysis of the impact of the former on the latter.In this study,the localization of the measuring tool,using the data in 2012 China General Social Survey,the status quo of subjective well-being of urban and rural residents in an objective description,and were factors to establish a multiple linear regression model for urban and rural residents SWB.The results show that:the level of subjective well-being of urban residents is higher than the level of subjective well-being of rural residents.Marital status,income,and compare the results with others,self-comparison results and educational level have a significant impact on subjective well-being of rural residents;work status,sex and age had no significant effect on subjective well-being of rural residents.Income,comparing the results with others,self-comparison results,level of education and age have a significant impact on subjective well-being of urban residents;marital status,employment status and gender had no significant effect on subjective well-being of urban residents.Causes of activity theory,theory of social comparison theory and expectations,are part of the causes of activity theory has been verified.
