Mobile learning,which is convenient,personalized and interactive,can meet the needs of the learning society and the needs of people to update information and skills.With the application of technology in the field of education is becoming more and more mature,the learner’s demand for mobile learning products is no longer just a powerful function,but more emphasis on the user experience and efficient.At the same time,with the acceleration of the process of international integration,international affairs are more and more frequent.In these affairs,English is the most widely used language in the world,and the requirement of English learning is becoming more and more vigorous.Mastering vocabulary is an important part of English learning,and mobile learning APP is an important way to learn English vocabulary.In order to provide learners with more efficient,high-quality mobile learning APP,but also to help product providers can further improve their production in the development and maintenance of mobile learning APP.To ensure that the powerful function of learning products and a good use of experience,this paper takes English learning APP as an example to study the usability of mobile learning APP from the perspective of user experience..This research mainly adopts the methods of literature research,questionnaire survey and laboratory research.In the early literature research,based on the study of relevant theory and research methods,we discusses a comprehensive evaluation method of usability evaluation system of mobile learning APP,mainly including the subjective evaluation methods composed by usability questionnaire and usability checklist,objective evaluation methods composed by motion performance analysis and physiological signal indicators.Subsequently,the background research and usability test of English vocabulary learning APP were carried out to verify the rationality and validity of this evaluation system.In the study 1,we take a usage survey of English vocabulary learning APP in experienced students by means of questionnaire.Then,the test object and typical task are determined for the next step of laboratory research.In the study 2,we take a comprehensive evaluation of usability in the laboratory with three APPs: baicizhan,hujaing and zhimi.In the aspect of subjective evaluation,usability questionnaire results show that: there was no significant difference in the evaluation of this three APPs in the pre-test,but after the operation with the typical tasks,the baicizhan score higher than the other two software and there was a significant difference in the after-test,but there was no significant difference between hujiang and zhimi.The usability checklist shows that baicizhan was better than the other two APPs,hujiang and zhimi have not significant difference in the checklist of scores,and there are advantages and disadvantages in the different checklist type.In the objective evaluation method,action analysis results show that the correct rate of baicizhan was significantly higher than zhimi,the operation time of baicizhan is significantly less than hujiang and zhimi,the length of operation path of baicizhan was significantly less than hujiang and zhimi,and there was no significant difference between hujiang and zhimi.The analysis of physiological signal indicators show that,the results of EDA(electrodermal activity)showed no significant difference between these three APPs,the results of EMG(electromyography)showed baicizhan significantly better than hujiang and zhimi,then there was no significant difference between hujiang and zhimi.This study uses a variety of methods of usability evaluation,discussed the comprehensive evaluation method of usability of mobile learning APP,broken through the limitation of single method in most traditional researches.In addition,the usability testing method is introduced into the quality evaluation of mobile learning APP,expanded the practice of this kind of research,it has some reference value for the design and development of mobile learning APP.
