Domestic discipline and clan rule is the regulation of ancient family and clan to restrain the family members' thoughts and behavior. It has been risen prosperity with the history changes, and it got further developed an peaked in Ming and Qing dynasties. Domestic discipline and clan rule during Ming and Qing dynasties is similar with law in its form of expression, but its essential connotation is the moral education of family members. It played an important an enduring role in the soundness of the individual personality, the inheritance of the Chinese nation's traditional virtue, the development of the family and clan, and the social security and harmony. This thesis explores the moral education ideology during Ming and Qing dynasties in a in a fairly systematic and deeper way, in order to provide some referable experience to modern family moral education.This thesis develops from the overviews of the complete picture, the selective analysis,and the value research. Primarily, this thesis address a more detail analysis of the main content of the domestic discipline and clan rule during Ming and Qing dynasties in the point of the connotation, the venation and the characteristics of the times. Secondly, on the basis of comprehensive understanding of the domestic discipline and clan rule during Ming and Qing dynasties ,summarizing the moral education connotation as family harmony, self cultivation,social attitudes and female education, enumerating the efficient methods,and analyzing the moral education Ideology. Finally, expounding the contemporary value of the domestic discipline and clan rule during Ming and Qing dynasties in the point of the moral education philosophy, the moral education connotation and the moral education methods.
