A Research On The Teaching Model To Promote The Deep Learning In Junior Middle School English Class

The deep learning is increasingly becoming the burning theory as the teaching science develops constantly.Meanwhile,how to integrate the deep learning with the teaching model is destined to be the uppermost priority.The studies are mainly focused on the theories rather than the practices before the redefinition of the education by the AETC in 2004.Based all of this and the careful studies of the deep learning,the author devoted herself to the design of the teaching model,and developed the empirical study in junior school of DingYu to test the effectiveness of it.There were three questions waiting to be solved.Firstly,how to integrate the deep learning with the teaching model? Besides,is the teaching model can improve the situation of deep learning? In addition,is the teaching model of deep learning can improve the grades? Keeping the questions in minds,we developed our research in plan.In the first stage,the author investigated the situation about the deep learning of the experimental class in the DingYu Middle School through the questionnaire which showed that the current situation about the deep learning is not so optimistic,and the surface learning is existed in the learning behavior.Both of them were the bases of the teaching model proposed by the author,which includes the settings of the comprehensive objectives,the adoption of the situational teaching method,the development of the group cooperation,the completion of the knowledge construction,the usage of the multiple assessments and the reflection.Then,the author applied the teaching model in the teaching process in the experimental class of DingYu Middle School,and the author carefully conducted the teaching model for a semester.After the experiment,the author collected the grade of both the experimental class and the control class,and made a comparison with the grade in the control class.The data showed that the grade in experimental class was much better than it in control class.We also put out the questionnaire again to make a comparison.The data the author collected from the questionnaire proved the correctness of the research hypothesis before the experiment.The ability of the deep learning was improved after a semester,especially in the aspects of the critical thinking,knowledge combination,knowledge construction and the knowledge migration and utilization.However,the ability of the problem solving and the learning with initiative and constancy also improved but was poor relatively.In a word,the teaching model can improve the situations of the deep learning,and also it can also improve the grade of English in the exams.Thus,the study of the teaching model enriches the theory of the deep leaning in the educational field.What's more,the teaching model can serve the students better,and offers a technical support for cultivating the learners with passion,capacity and efficiency.
