The cognition of geographical region is the ability of students to carry out regional positioning,regional analysis and regional future development forecast from the perspective of region.With the change and development of the times,geographical learning is no longer confined to the education of students' geographical knowledge,but to pay more attention to the cultivation of students' geographic literacy.Therefore,as one of the four major geographical core competencies,the cognitive ability of geographical region is proposed,which is the ability of students to learn geography.The improvement of geography literacy is one of the ultimate goals of modern geography education.At present,the theoretical research on the cognitive ability of the geographical region is relatively small,and it mainly focuses on the overall research of the geographical core literacy,and rarely involves the construction of the evaluation index system of regional cognitive ability.This paper takes the high school students ability to recognize geographical area as the research object,reference literature,attempts to construct the evaluation index system of high school geography students cognitive ability,combined with the evaluation index system analysis of the status quo of Students Geography cognitive ability,and puts forward relevant strategies and training students cognitive ability of the geographical area rise.This article is divided into four main parts:(1)Through the collation of literature,introduces the present situation of the research background,significance and research at home and abroad to get inspiration,determine the research methods and ideas;on the basis of relevant theoretical elaboration,to define the concept of the article related to the.(2)To construct the evaluation index system of the regional cognitive ability from the following aspects: the spatial location of the region,the analysis and interpretation of the regional characteristics,the regional development conditions and the problem solving,and the future development of the region.(3)The evaluation index system of regional geography cognitive ability,analysis combined with case analysis on the present situation of students' cognitive abilities of the geographical area,the students in the area location and area feature analysis has great promoting space.(4)Finally,combined with the analysis of the status quo of regional students cognitive ability and the above deficiencies,puts forward effective strategies to cultivate and improve the ability of,in order to provide some suggestions for middle school geography teachers in daily teaching.
