| During teaching biology,I find students have six problems in the learning of mitosis and meiosis.They are:1.understanding of the cell cycle is not clear.2.Confused about the relationship between chromosome,DNA and the number of chromosomes in mitosis.3.The role of cell organelles in mitosis is hard to remember.4.The changes of chromosome and DNA in meiosis and mitosis is difficult to get.5.The formation of sperm abnormalities in the process of understanding is unclear.6.Can not accurately determine the relationship between drawing each curve and cell cycle and can not correctly identify the images in order to determine the specific period of cell division.These must have a certain relationship with the preparation of textbooks.So I made a comparison between the knowledge of mitosis and meiosis according to the biology textbooks for high school students in the United States and China.Nevertheless,the curriculum standards,knowledge content,picture illustrations,exercises,experiments,network resources are compared to find out the reasons and solutions about the students’problems so as to improve the scientific literacy of biology for students.The methods used are comparison study and literature study.By comparison,induction and analysis,we could see the advantages of the two knowledge points in our textbook are columns setting,experiment,exercises And the main shorts are in the network resources and image quality.The main reasons of difficulties in learning is layout of knowledge and pictures in the textbook.During teaching in Senior High School,I make some suggestions on the compilation of the PEP and take advantage of the U.S.A edition in daily work. |
