Science education aims at facilitating human development,but people's thinking does not synchronize with advances in technology that in many areas,many people cannot make out superstition and pseudoscience yet and lack rational scientific spirit and scientific concepts.This is not optimistic for the development of a country.This phenomenon is mainly because now science education in science museum model is quite singular and science education in science museum only focuses on the content of science communication but lacks guidance for the process,leading to unapparent effects.As information technology progresses,non-formal science education means one can not only visit science museum,but also improve his or her scientific knowledge by using the internet or studying himself or herself in leisure time,for science education in science museum can integrate with network techniques.This is because learning tools like network software are used,which can strengthen the interaction between students and scientific knowledge and between students and exhibits in the process of science communication,constantly motivate students to use their brain and activate their thinking,and make up for the deficiencies of science education in science museum in mode of transmission.Compared with other network platforms,Edmodo is especially characterized by high interactivity,infinite openness and resource sharing.Hence,this article selected Edmodo to conduct activities about science education to boost the effects of science education in science museum.This article is divided into five chapters for discussion.Chapter one expounded on the objectives,content,and train of thinking,research significance and methods of this study.Chapter two sorted out domestic and foreign studies on the current situation of informal science education and application of Edmodo,including the characteristics and functions of Edomodo,and proved the advantages of using Edmodo to carry out science education.Chapter three designed a teaching model of informal science education from two aspects—students and content of science education,including principles of learning design,analysis of characteristics of learners,learning content and analysis of objectives,design of learning method,and design of learning process,providing a theoretical basis for the activity design for next informal science education.Chapter four analyzed the effects of the application and practice of activity model for informal science education by first selecting the content of science education to design the activity of informal science education,then conducting a questionnaire on students who have participated the science education,to know more about individual characteristics for laying a foundation for further activity design.Next,the teaching design of science education activity was applied in practice,and the effects of informal science education model that can boost the science education in science museum were analyzed and summarized.Chapter five summarized and reflected on research significance and existing problems and pointed possible directions for development.
