The new curriculum reform puts forward new requirements for education and teaching. The reform and innovation of education is focused on the transformation of educational ideas and teaching methods. Nowadays, more and more attention is paid to the students' active participation and cooperation in classroom teaching. However, due to the school education is always bound by examination- oriented education system, the teachers who want to try new teaching methods often feel powerless. Peer Instruction was founded by Eric Mazur, Harvard University, which aims to improve students'understanding of physics concepts. This method is to divide a class into several small units, and design a concept test for each small unit. Then, according to the feedback information of the concept tests, the teachers take the corresponding teaching measures,leaving more time for students to discuss the concept. After years of research and practice of foreign experts, Peer Instruction has been proved to be a useful teaching method,which has a positive impact on students' concept learning, classroom participation,learning motivation, learning interest and so on. The author will introduce this teaching method to physics classroom in junior middle school , hoping to better promote students'learning.Through literature research, this paper analyzes the current situation of research on Peer Instruction at home and abroad, describes the implementation process of Peer Instruction, and the design of concept tests, the application of Classroom Response System. In practice, we choose to implement the Peer Instruction in the physics class of the second grade and test the effect of it. We use "love class 3.0" system which researched and developed by Wuhan No.64 Middle School, as an auxiliary tool for Peer Instruction. The system includes the timely feedback function of Classroom Response System. In this paper, a class of exploring lesson, lecture lesson, and experimental lesson is taken as an example to introduce how to carry out the Peer Instruction in the classroom,and analyze the peer discussion in the three cases. We used the test to analyze the influence of Peer Instruction on students' mastery of physical knowledge. We analyze the feedback of the students to CRS and Peer Instruction through the interview and questionnaire. The study concluded that: as a technical support in the implementation process of Peer Instruction , CRS plays a certain role in promoting the implementation of Peer Instruction ;Peer Instruction based on CRS can improve students' understanding and mastery of physics knowledge; the students' satisfaction with CRS and the Peer Instruction based on CRS is high; the combination of Peer Instruction and CRS can promote students' participation in class, interest in learning and thinking in physics study.Finally, the author reflects on the research, and puts forward some suggestions for researchers and implementers of Peer Instruction.
