It is urgent to employ new teaching methods in classroom teaching for universities, primary and middle school in China to keep up with the new curriculum reform since the updating of educational philosophy. Peer instruction was introduced and kept using in the class of college physics by professor Mazur Eric from Harvard University since 1990 s. Peer instruction is a useful teaching mode, it has been proved effective in improving students’ interest, confidence and the ability of understanding physics concept and cultivating the students’ thinking and the ability to cooperate during 20 years researches by Mazur and other researchers in many different regions and schools.Relative abroad for peer instruction research has a mature, domestic study of peer instruction is still in the initial state.The theoretical research lack of comprehensive and systematic, the practice research lack of long-term and large numbers lead to low convincing quantitatively. In order to provide some reference and suggestions for peer instruction using in physics classroom teaching in China,the author conducted a comparative and systematic theory study on the application of peer instruction in our university and high school physics classroom teaching in view of the present domestic research status.This thesis is divided into four chapters:The first chapter is introduction, mainly introduces the research background and research status of peer instruction, introduces the purpose and significance of the topic and research methods.The second chapter mainly introduces the theoretical basis of peer introduction,concrete operation process, feedback systems and practice, etc.The third chapter is the core of this thesis, it mainly includes four parts: the first part includes the research about the teaching methods in domestic, and the feasibility analysis of peer instruction used in physics classroom teaching in China;The second part introduces the teaching methods in colleges and universities in domestic, itcarries a simple comparison to some commonly used college physics teaching materials of China and the United States, and the application of peer instruction in physics classroom in colleges and universities was analyzed and discussed.The third part investigates the usage of physics class teaching methods in current domestic high school, it analyzes and discusses the application of peer instruction in physics classroom in high school through reading and studying physics curriculum standard and teaching material;The last part presents the problems that should pay attention in peer instruction.The fourth chapter is summary and outlook, it summarizes the research results and some shortages in this study, and discusses the future research direction.
