Stereotypes And China's Urban And Rural Residents' Social Distance

China is an agricultural country,rural population accounts for the majority.Huge rural population is an important force in China's socialist construction,but because of long-term segmentation based on the household registration system of urban and rural binary structure,making between urban and rural residents in terms of possession,social status and other public resources unbalanced.Way of life,ideological concept and value system of urban and rural residents,there are huge differences,which have hindered the social integration between urban and rural residents,and become the unfavorable factors in the process of modernization.Research on the state of the relationship between urban and rural residents,a large number of scholars from economics,sociology,political science and other disciplines's aspect have studied,but are basically around the urban and rural residents' income,social security,health,etc.,rarely involving micro the relationship between urban and rural residents.This study in 2011,the national large-scale questionnaire survey data as the foundation,respectively from the Angle of the urban and rural two-way degree analysis of the social distance between the two groups,from microscopic Angle discusses the relationship of the current state of the urban and rural residents.The study of urban and rural residents of social distance,has the vital significance to building a harmonious society.In this paper,the research on the basis of previous research has the following three aspects of advance.First,in combination with Bogardus's social distance scale and reverse social distance scale,two-way degrees from the urban and rural residents compares social distance of urban and rural residents.Second,The use of large-scale national survey data from the whole,comprehensive understanding of China's urban and rural residents social distance situation,to make up for the previous small sample size,the survey area is small and other issues.Third,from the Angle of stereotype deeply analyzes the influence on social distance,enriching the academic research on the influence factor of social distance.This study found that urban and rural social distance for each other is there are differences.First of all,the rural people to urban people's social distance is greater than city people to rural people's social distance.On the social distance scale structure,urban and rural residents express different.specifically,rural people to urban social distance scale structural strength should be become neighbors,close friends,working together,marriage,chatting,to form social distance's strong change.And Urban to rural social distance scale structural strength is from chatting,working together,neighbor,close friends to form a strong trend of marriage.In addition,the previous main affecting factors of social distance from the social status,space position,cultural differences for research,there are few studies from the Angle of stereotype to study its effects on social distance.And this article is from the view of the stereotypes of both urban and rural residents to discuss the influence on social distance.The study found that the stereotype of urban and rural residents have significant negative correlation on social distance of urban and rural residents.Specificly,urban residents' stereotype to rural residents the more active,social distance is smaller;urban residents' stereotype to rural residents the more negative,social distance is greater.Stereotype of rural people to city people more positive,then the social distance is smaller;Stereotype of rural people to city people more negative,then the social distance is greater.
