This study made a questionnaire survey of 271 married women, in order to discuss the filial piety in the relationship between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law. Research mainly adopt SPSS statistical method to analyze filial piety and its various components, and explore the concept of filial piety under demography. Then investigate differences of the concept of filial piety between mother and mother-in-law.Results show : First, married women is filial to mother-in-law in general in the concept,and has mainly mutual concept of filial piety, the authority of the traditional concept of filial piety had declined. Second, the importance of married women’s filial piety ideas to her mother-in-law sorting: supporting and sacrifice, respecting and caring, protecting and illuminating, depression and obedience. Third, older daughter-in-law than the young have a stronger concept of filial piety to her mother-in-law, the low degree of education daughter-in-law than the high degree of education have a stronger concept of filial piety to her mother-in-law, the rural and township daughter-in-law than the city have a stronger concept of filial piety to her mother-in-law . Fourth, married women have a stronger concept of filial piety to her mother than mother-in-law, and the relationship with her mother better than with mother-in-law, but the same treating for her mother and her mother-in-law on the attitude or behavior.To sum up, discussing filial piety ideas to mother-in-law must be in multiple angle, and women has a strong "should be filial " for her mother-in-law ,but it is difficult to be "truly filial piety" .And then it’s hard to put her mother-in-law really into the category of "one of us".
