As an important part of Chinese teaching,Oral communication teaching can not only improve the students’ language ability,but also improve the students’ communicative competence.However,in the actual oral communication teaching,there are problems such as low teaching efficiency and insufficient student interest.The main reason is that the theoretical basis of oral communication teaching is relatively weak,so it is have great practical significance to explore the theoretical basis of oral communication teaching in primary school.Pragmatics is the study the of language use and its discipline.It is closely linked to the oral communication teaching,as a guide to oral communication teaching in primary school,it not only can improve teaching efficiency,but also can cultivate students’ oral communicative ability in teaching practice.The focus of this paper is the application of pragmatic theory in the teaching of oral English teaching in primary schools,which is mainly divided into five parts.The first part points out the research origin,significance,current situation and research methods;The second part is an overview of oral communication teaching in primary school;The third part elaborates the pragmatic meaning and its necessity;The fourth part,based on the pragmatic context,instructions information,speech act,pragmatic rules and other theories,combined with specific cases,to explain the new method for oral communication teaching in primary school;The fifth part,discusses the optimization strategy of pragmatic applied in oral communication teaching.
