Teachers' professional ability refers to the basic ability of a teacher engaged in a professional field of education and teaching,which is a specialized operational capacity relating to the comprehensive ability of the teacher.Teachers' professional competence is not only an important basis for teachers to achieve self-professional development,but also a key factor which directly restricts and influences the quality and the level of their teaching and developing.Therefore,teachers should focus on improving their comprehensive ability,not to mention the promotion of his professional ability.Teachers' most urgent task is to enhance professional competence,especially those who have just started teaching.The history teachers should have the the historical thinking ability,the teaching practice ability and the self-realization ability,which constitute the indispensable part of the teachers' professional development.An excellent high school history teacher possesses perfect basic knowledge structure and historical professional thinking ability.He possesses systematic knowledge integration,teaching design and implementation,organization teaching and classroom management,teaching evaluation,teaching reflection and research ability,and also has strong self-learning,emotional counseling and career planning skills.New history teachers in senior high schools are in the initial stage of teaching as well as other teachers.Although these teachers already have the knowledge base and professional competence,there is a considerable gap from becoming a qualified or excellent teacher.They must have full knowledge of this point,and strive to narrow the gap with excellent teachers.The new teachers' ability foundation is rather theoretical.They often face a lot of challenges from teaching work and interpersonal communication in the course of teaching practice.They often lack the role for identity and the ability of self-development.They can not effectively solve the problems in teaching and self-development,seriously affecting the professional development of teachers.Therefore,in order to explore the problem of new teachers' professional ability,they should pay attention to the following aspects.They need to use the moral quality of historians as their own cultivated goals,which also need moral life-based teaching beliefs,correctly handle the relationship between theoretical learning and teaching experience,and accurately grasp the depth and breadth of high school history teaching.They need to be reasonable control of the predefined problems and the generative problems in teaching,and constantly enhance self-reflection and teaching research ability.It is of great significance to enhance the professional ability of new teachers in a short time and give teachers appropriate guidance,which is an important part of schools' management as well as the construction of teachers.
