A Study On The Relationship Between Children’s Responsibility And Parenting Style In Tianjin 5-6 Years Old

Responsibility is an important part of children’s social development,which affect the healthy growth of children’s psychology.The social development of children begins with the family,the earliest social communication,the social normative cognition occurs in the family,and parents as the main foster in the process of parenting,its parenting style affect the children’s sense of responsibility to a certain extent.Therefore,this research focus on the parenting style,and take the 375 aged5-6 years old and their parents in Tianjin as the object.Through the questionnaire survey,to explore the relationship between parenting style and the 5-6 years old chilren’s responsibility.The result shows that:(1)5-6 years old children’s sense of responsibility in the middle level,the level of development from high to low in turn is the group responsibility,self-responsibility,family responsibility,social responsibility.(2)From the gender point of view,there is a significant differences between the self-responsibility,family responsibility,group responsibility,total responsibility in the responsibility of 5-6 years old children,and the there is no significant difference in the social responsibility.(3)There is a significant difIference girls ’parents and boys’ parents in the spoiling parenting styles,but others do not.(4)From the view of the educational level of the parents,the better educated,the higher the score of the parenting style in democracy,the lower the scores on autocracy and laissez-faire,and there is a the significant differences in democracy.And,there are also significant differences in the despotism for the different educated father.(5)The results of correlation analysis show that there is a significant positive correlation between doting,laissez-faire and inconsistency with all aspects of 5-6 year old children’s responsibility.There is a significant positive correlation between democracy parenting style and children’s responsibility.(6)From the regression analysis,the democratic and inconsistent parenting style have a significant predictive power for the 5-6 years old children’s responsibility.The democratic parenting style has a positive predictive effect on the level of the 5-6 year old child’s responsibility.And the inconsistent parenting style has a negative predictive effect on the level of the 5-6 years old children’s responsibility.The laissez-faire parenting style has a negative predictive effect on the level of social responsibility.(7)From the perspective of the parenting style,the level of child’s responsibility has a significant difference in the different level of democracy and laissez-faire parenting style.The higher score of the laissez-faire,the lower level of the child’s responsibility.The opposite of the democracy.
