After the WWII,pacifistic movement has a great development,and international community establishes organizations to advocate the justice of the peace,that contributes to the emergence of Peace Studies.As a knowledge of guiding peaceful practice,Peace Studies reveals the peaceful idea that provides important lessons for maintaining world peace and constructing a harmonious society.Besides,the peaceful idea,as the important values of emotional attitude,which needs to be grasped by the middle school students,and the achievements of studying it also benefit the middle-school history teaching.The thesis mainly focus on the comparative analysis between Chinese and American textbooks,and then has a further research on the reasons for difference.What's more,form the perspective of peaceful idea,comparing the different peaceful ideas of Chinese and American textbooks as well as investigating the enlightenments of cultivating peaceful idea that Peace Studies for high-school history teaching.The main content of the thesis is as follows:Chapter One has a overview on the academic thought of Peace Studies.It involves in introducing the relations among Peaceful Studies,Peaceful idea and high-school history teaching.In addition,it systematically introduces Peaceful Studies' subject features and research features about the definition of Peaceful Studies,the object of study and research methods.Moreover,it introduces the five peaceful education modes of present world,and analyzes the peaceful ideas in our country's high-school history teaching for searching for coherence point between Peaceful Studies and high-school history teaching.Chapter Two focuses on the comparative study between Chinese and American high-school history textbooks,and has a analysis of the reasons for difference,basing on above,and then has a further exploration of different peaceful ideas in Chinese and American textbooks.Such as the comparative content: appeasement policy and present world.On one hand,it mainly compares the description,reasons and evaluation of appeasement policy in Chinese and American textbooks,and analyzes the reasons for difference.On the other hand,from the economy,politics,society and situation aspects that it compares the different presentations in Chinese and American textbooks,and further analyzes the revealed different peaceful ideas.Chapter Three elaborates on the enlightenments of peaceful idea for high-school history teaching.First,it highlights to establish a comprehensive peaceful idea,and contains international perspective.Second,staying positive attitude and establishing positive peaceful idea.Third,staying the position of national interests stable.
