To achieve man’s comprehensive development is the pursuit of the ultimate goal of human society development.As a result of natural and social and many other restrictions,up to now,the goal of human development is far from achieved.The progress of college students is an important indicator of man’s comprehensive development.The comprehensive development of college students refers to the comprehensive and coordinated development of college students’ basic qualities such as personality,ability and knowledge on the basis of sound personality.In the primary stage of socialism,due to the economic,political,cultural development level and other restrictions,the comprehensive development of our college students still face many problems.Since the reform and opening up,especially the establishment and development of the socialist market economy,profoundly affect the whole society and human development,which not only brings unprecedented opportunities for the comprehensive development of college students,but also brings serious challenges.With the development of reform and opening up and the establishment and development of the socialist market economy,fetishism,the social phenomenon prevailing in the private conditions,began to breed and spread in our country,and invaded the college students,which not only seriously affected the healthy development of college students,but also restricts the pace of China’s modernization drive.Therefore,how to eliminate the negative influence of fetishism on the progress of college students and promote the comprehensive development of college students is not only the need of deepening the theoretical research of human development,but also the realistic needs of realizing the goal of socialist modernization.This article aims to explore the problems exist in the comprehensive development of college students in contemporary Chinese society from Marxist fetishism theory perspective.Combined with China’s actual situation,this thesis provides the corresponding appropriate analysis and countermeasures.The thesis includes four parts:The first part systematically explains the process of the formation of Marxist fetishism and its three forms.Based on the explanation,the thesis tries to reveal the enlightenment of Marxist fetishism theory on the comprehensive development of human being.The second part analyzes the realistic performance and causes of fetishism in contemporary college students from four aspects: sense of worth,outlook on life,sense of learning and employment,and sense of communication.In the third part,combined the practical problems exposed,the thesis analyses the negative impact of Fetishism on the overall development of college students from four perspectives: the comprehensive satisfaction of college students,the comprehensive improvement of college students’ ability,the comprehensive enrichment of college students’ social relations,the free development of college students’ personality.The fourth part,combined with social reality,proposes the countermeasures and suggestions that eliminate the negative influence of fetishism to promote the comprehensive development of college students from three levels: the improvement of social atmosphere,school education system and self-cultivation enhancement,which is social,school,college students themselves,respectively.The study of the influence of fetishism on college students and the corresponding countermeasures in education will help us to understand the problems exist in the process of development of college students and to eliminate the restrictive factors in the new social background of China’s rapid economic development and economic globalization.The study offers an insight to the formation of healthy cultural environment and the comprehensive development of college students.
