Chinese classical literature is an important part of Chinese language textbook and key point of Chinese education.The new curriculum reform in 2001 changed the situation that the People’s Education Press edition is the only choice.After that many new edition textbooks appeared,including Jiangsu,Shandong,Guangdong,Shanghai and Beijing Normal University editions.In these different editions,some common contents exist.This study is focusing on the 21 texts in the current compulsory Chinese textbook of People’s Education Press(PEP)and Jiangsu editions.Recurrence of these texts in both editions shows that they are representative classical literature.Teaching and exercise design of both editions are all around the Criteria for Chinese Course in High School.But some difference in the curriculum compilation emphasis and rules of the two editions was found.Through comparison,location design randomness of same texts in the two editions was identified.The accuracy,brevity and normalization of the text annotation should be developed.The exercise emphasis of Jiangsu edition is the understanding of the individual students and the comprehensive abilities training is focused in this edition.But,the quantity of the exercise is too big,which will place heavier burden on students.However,the PEP edition emphasizes basis and practicability,which is too conservative but short of innovation.The study on the comparison of same Chinese classical literatures is aimed to show the advantage and disadvantage of the two editions and develop the ability to compile Chinese textbook.Three chapters exits in this thesis.The first chapter is introduction.The Second chapter is to introduce the theoretical foundation of the Chinese classical literature compilation,focusing on the comparison and analysis of the Chinese classical literatures in the two edition textbooks.And the emphasis is assistant teaching system.The features and shortness of the two edition textbooks will be studied.The third chapter is the evaluation on the compilation of two textbooks and some advice to deal with the problem on the compilation of Chinese classical literature.This is helpful for the improvement and development of Chinese classical literature compilation.
