At present,the mental health problems of middle school students are becoming more and more serious.These mental health problems are closely related to the irrational beliefs held by middle school students themselves.However,the existing research results rarely study the mental health problems of middle school students from the perspective of irrational beliefs.Irrational beliefs,as one of the important factors that affect the mental health of middle school students,play a vital role in measuring the mental health of middle school students The Therefore,it is of great theoretical and practical significance to study the influence of irrational beliefs on the mental health of middle school students.This study is based on the theory of ABC,the theory of cognitive maladjustment,the combination of quantitative research and qualitative research methods,and then combs the existing research theory,and then analyzes the two concepts of irrational beliefs and mental health And then explain the irrational beliefs and the mental health of middle school students in this study,and make a preliminary hypothesis about the relationship between them.This paper uses quantitative research methods to study the status quo,influencing factors and suggestions of mental health problems of middle school students in this group.Mental health as the dependent variable,and divided into anxiety,depression,hostility,paranoia,interpersonal stress,emotional distress,emotional instability,psychological imbalance,learning difficulties,adaptation difficulties,passive defense,attack risk,impulsive risk,Risk-free,network or mobile addiction risk factors,irrational beliefs as independent variables,and divided into perceived distortions,negative thinking,desire to deal with absolute and irrational factors to gender,grade,place of origin andwhether The independent children were controlled variables,independent T test,variance analysis and multiple linear regression analysis.It was found that there was a positive correlation between irrational beliefs and mental health of middle school students.The more irrational beliefs held by middle school students,the more they were The more serious the health problem;the influence of irrational beliefs on the mental health of middle school students is also restricted by four control variables.In this paper,we analyze the relationship between the dependent variable,the control variable and the independent variable by multiple linear regression analysis.The basic conclusion is as follows:(1)The middle school student’s mental health status is generally centered,the emotional distress,the emotional instability and the anxiety is that the middle school students are currently facing The main mental health problems.(2)the mental health of middle school students,in gender,different students,grade,whether the only child of these aspects there are significant differences.(3)There is a positive correlation between irrational beliefs and mental health of middle school students.Specifically,the more irrational beliefs,the more serious the psychological problems of secondary school students.The perceptual distortions of irrational beliefs have the most significant influence on the mental health of middle school students,and the second is to deal with irrationality.On the basis of the research conclusion and the actual situation of the middle school students,this paper puts forward some suggestions on how to reduce the irrational beliefs and improve the quality of mental health from the three aspects of school,family and middle school students:(1)The school should actively carry out the psychological Health education activities to help middle school students to reduce irrational beliefs.(2)give full play to the positive role of family in mental health education.(3)to create a social environment conducive to the development of mental health of middle school students.
