A Study On The Effective Use Of Small Percussion Instruments In Junior High School Music Class

“The Music Curriculum Standard in Full-time Compulsory Education”makes clear request concerning the teaching of small percussion instrument that“students in lower division should learn to play small percussion instrument and should be able to play it to accompany songs or for the ensemble of other sound sources”.In accordance with the requirement of the new curriculum standard,this paper conducts a detailed analysis and practice on whether small percussion instruments can be used effectively in the junior high school music class.This paper reaches a conclusion that the effective use of small percussion instruments in the class can demonstrate the basic music capabilities of junior high school music teacher,create a better learning atmosphere for students in junior high school music class and stimulate students’ interest in learning music so that students can enhance their comprehensive quality of music through music class,cultivate good habits and promote their innovation ability.Teaching instrument in music class can better involve students in the class activity and help them learn music in a more intuitive manner.Percussion instrument is an important part of the musical instrument family.It covers a wide range of types,timbres and can cooperate well with other instruments.Some of them are simple to learn and convenient to carry.We should exert its effect sufficiently in music class.This paper is divided into five chapters.The first chapter is about the feasibility of using small percussion instruments in junior high school music class.The second chapter focuses on the theoretical basis of the effective use of small percussion instruments in junior high school music class.The third chapter mainly conducts the case study of No.3 Middle School of Puyang on the effective use of small percussion instrument in music class and makes an attempt to use it in practice.The fourth chapter is the summary of the practice effectiveness of the use of small percussion instruments in music class in No.3Middle School of Puyang by analyzing the questionnaire by the students and the interview with the teachers.The fifth chapter analyzes the problems existing in the effective use of small percussion instruments in music class.
