| Reading as the main input of language learning is plays a very important position in English learning.Junior high school English reading teaching is a very important part of English teaching.Cultivating and improving students’ reading comprehension ability is the main purpose of reading class.China’s latest promulgated "full-time compulsory education English curriculum standard" clearly advocates task-based teaching.In different aspects,many scholars have studied task-based reading teaching.They thought that the task-based reading approach could not only help learners improve their reading abilities but also impel them grasp the reading strategy and methods.Under the guidance of the theory of second language acquisition and constructivism,this study takes two classes as the research object in the ninth grade of the NO 7 Middle School in Yanji,Jilin Province.And it takes three months.According to the teaching principles of task-based language teaching method and the teaching steps to design specific teaching tasks.And then through the comparative analysis of two classes before and after the reading performance,questionnaires and interviews to study,it proved the task-based teaching method in the use of junior high school English teaching effectiveness,and verified the task-based teaching method to help increase students English reading interest,improve students’ English reading achievement,and ultimately promote students’English reading ability.The study found that the task-based teaching method improved the students’ interest in reading and promoted the cooperative learning between students.Students not only develop good reading habits,but also cultivate a variety of reading strategies and reading skills,the most critical is to improve the students’ reading ability.It is proved that the task-based teaching method is an effective teaching mode which can be used in junior middle school English reading class. |
