A Study On The Urban Integration In Lanzhou The Rural Muslim Population In The Context Of Reforming And Opening

Many Muslim population gathered to Lanzhou with the development of economy after the influence of reform and opening-up policy.They were mostly engaged in business activities in Lanzhou,and mainly populated by the mosque,gongbei and other places of religious activity as the center.And they chose to live in the chengguan district and qilihe district which were the highest gathering places in the past.However,because of the various differences between Muslim population and other ethnic groups in the city of Lanzhou,the major issue for Muslim was how to make themselves blend into Lanzhou life.Lanzhou is the center of Gansu province,having the large population,the fast pace of life and the higher level of consumption and so on,and these mean a challenge for foreign immigrant Muslim.Moreover,the challenge is much more serious for the future to increase the economic income of the Muslim population.Living in Lanzhou,they not only adapt to urban life pressure,but also face to and deal with various aspects of the challenge which is from citizens in the city managers,other peoples,bias and so on.Only if all of Muslim adapt to various aspects of city life,they could truly achieve into the city.This thesis discussed the the problems of Muslim population in Lanzhou city,and analyzed the causes of influencing muslims blend into Lanzhou,and then put forward the countermeasures and suggestions to promote the Muslim population into the city from the perspective of the Muslim gathered progress,causes,and the present situation to Lanzhou.In Muslim blendding into Lanzhou,the author took focus on analyzing the blendding situation of economy,culture,education,health,religious life and social communication and daily life in Lanzhou.In the face of muslims' problem,the government should provide the corresponding employment guidance and the popularity of supporting policies,and perfect social security system,and then strengthen the construction of urban infrastructure and eliminate public prejudice from the perspective of the household registration system reform.For Muslims,the aim of these is to encourage them to blend into the daily life in Lanzhou better and faster.
