A Study On The Cultivation Of College Students' Core Values Of Socialism

The socialist core values is the core of the socialist core value system,scientifically revealing the essence of socialism,differentiating the socialist culture from others,remaining the long-term fundamental values supported and followed by the people of China.The core values of socialism can guide and regulate the thinking and behavior of college students.College students are the future of the nation and the backbone of social development.The value orientation of college students determines the one of the whole nation.The cultivation of socialist core values of college students is the impending need for their ideological consolidation,normative behavior,growth and success,and accomplishment of the historical mission.Moreover,for the national rejuvenation,such core values is also significant impetus for the realization of China's strategic objective ' Strengthening the Country through Talents ",the training of qualified personnel demanded for China's socialist construction,and the enhancement of the national cultural soft power.On the one hand,such core values can promote the theoretical study on the education of Marxism and the cultivation of the socialist core values in higher educational institutes,supplementing the insufficiency of moral education practice and promoting the realization of the goal of talent training in colleges and universities.On the other hand,such core values can consolidate the socialist core values of college students from inside out and guide their practice and growth to success,ensuring them to integrate the mainstream thoughts into their values and fortify the way of their thinking with socialist core values.To study the cultivation of socialist core values of college students,it demands the empirical investigation on the basis of its necessity,the understanding of its status quo,and the analysis on the extant problems and the summary of the reasons.Combined with the actual situation of college students in China and referred to the related studies on cultivation of values at home and abroad,the efficient path applicable for cultivating the socialist core values of college students in China should be explored to promote the cultivation of such core values.This paper consists of three parts,unfolding the specific studies on the cultivation of college students' socialist core values.The first part discusses the concept and characteristics of college students'socialist core values.The main contents are as follows:the necessity and the basic connotation and characteristics of cultivation of the socialist core values of college students.Among them,the necessity of cultivation is expounded on four aspects,that is,college students' thought,behavior,growth and success,and historical mission.The characteristics of cultivation include four aspects,such as subjectivity,fulfillment,chronicity,and penetrability.The second part concerns the status quo of cultivation of college students'socialist core values by questionnaires.The survey data shows there are some problems with the cultivation in China,mainly including unclear cultivation purpose,low consciousness on cultivation,deficient practice on cultivation,and monotonous cultivation method.On the basis of the reality of college students and through in-depth research and analysis,this article deduces the conclusion that the causes of the foresaid problems mainly include negative influences of market economy,impacts of multicultural ideologies,bad abduction of network information,and dissocialized education environment,poor consciousness of college students on the cultivation,and absence of complete self-assessment system,etc.These factors have brought certain negative effects on the development of socialist core values of college students.Therefore,it is imminent to make active studies on the solutions to these problems.The third part is the core part of the thesis.According to the necessity and the current situation of the formation,the effective paths of the cultivation are discussed,mainly in five aspects:purpose,subject,environment,method and self-assessment system.The purpose of cultivation is represented by the integration of internal purpose,external purpose,and solidified purpose.The subjects should raise their consciousness on the cultivation by integration of learning and thinking,self-discipline,practice,and prudence.In the aspect of environment,we should give the full play to the joint forces of school environment,family environment,social environment and network environment so as to provide a good environment for the cultivation.In terms of methods,we provide diversified,effective methods of cultivation for the college students,referred to the western value clarification,role-playing,and social maneuver and combined with the innovation based on the real situation and features of college students in China.The self-assessment system on cultivation is mainly elaborated in the aspects of subject,standard,principle and method,providing a complete self-assessment system for the cultivation.By this paper,hopefully,I can contribute my share to the study on cultivation of the socialist core values of college students in China and promote the growth and success of Chinese students and the fulfillment of their historical mission.
