| Geography teaching and research activities are important ways to improve its teaching quality and realize effective teaching of geography.Effective geography teaching and research activities can solve the specific problems encountered by geography teachers during the teaching process,improve the professional literacy of teachers,promote their professional development,make their teaching methods better,reform classroom teaching,enhance the quality of geography teaching,so as to make students get the best learning results.The contents and themes of geography teaching and research activities are derived from the practice of geography teaching,so the effective geography teaching and research activities have effective and school-based features.It is found in the survey of geography teaching and research activities and students’ learning situation both inside and outside the school that the attendance rate of geography teachers is low in the geography teaching and research activities,their collective preparation for classes is not enough,and the organization of geography teaching and research activities is unreasonable.The reason for that is the lack of awareness of their professional development needs,not enough social and school support for the activities of geography teaching and research,the arrangements and organization of teaching and research staff for geography teaching and research are unreasonable.Strategies such as strengthening the teachers’ awareness of theory study,improving teachers’ professional quality,improving their enthusiasm to participate in teaching and research activities,conducting their personal reflection,reasonable arrangements of teaching and research activities in the collective opinion to ensure the smooth conduction of teaching and research activities,and applying the results of teaching and research activities into practice to improve the effectiveness of geography teaching and research activities. |
