Education is not only a kind of life,but also one of the most direct,common as well as interesting and valuable lives.Education is essential to human development and educational life is an important part of human life as the subjects of education(teachers and students)show the vitality of life,experience the life process,meet the needs of life and consequently achieve the value of life in the educational activities.Educational life of the two main subjects has considerably difference since the student's educational life is concerned with the development of individuals while the teachers' concerns two meanings: cultivation of students and the professional development of teachers.Therefore,both from the perspective of professional growth of teachers and of students' development,the quality of teachers' educational life is in urgent need of attention.This paper is divided into four parts.Part one includes literature review,basic concepts discussion and summarization of this thesis;Part two shows the process of the research.With the original questionnaire “A Questionnaire On Teacher's Education Life”,author of this thesis selected seven primary and secondary school teachers in city C as research subjects,conducting a questionnaire survey to investigate the current situation of teachers' education life.Part three introduces the procedures of the semi-structured interviews.Based on the statistical results of the questionnaire,a total of 11 subjects are selected to be interviewed.Content of the interview is analyzed to generate the main problem of teacher educational life.Part four synthesizes the results of the two research methods,summed up the puzzles in teacher educational life and put forward a rational way to solve the dilemma.With comprehensively analysis of the questionnaire and interview,corresponding countermeasures and suggestions are generated as follows.(1)Demographic variables such as gender,age,subject,title,school type,grade,subjects and serving as head teachers or not are important factors that affect the educational life status of primary and secondary school teachers.There are significant differences in the dimensions concerning demographic variables.(2)The educational life of primary and secondary school teachers in all dimensions,including teaching status,mental state,material state,professional development,national policy and school management are significantly correlated with teachers' educational life.Teaching status,mental state,and professional development are more significant in the research than material state,national policy and school management.(3)Pressure is the most influential factor of teachers' educational life,such as school pressure,teacher-student relationship,and job title pressure,occupational pressure from internal and external.(4)The plight of teacher education life lies in the mental overloading stress,heavy work,lack of motivation as well as the loss of further education.The thesis puts forward the main countermeasures to improve the education life of teachers from three perspectives.From the social perspective,develop a reasonable disciplinary system,establish and improve the remuneration system,respect the teacher's life value.From the school perspective,improve the campus culture construction;develop a fair school management system.From the perspective of teachers as individuals,cultivate a good attitude,plan time reasonably,change the mind and keep pace with times.Through the joint efforts of the community,schools,and individuals,improve the teaching atmosphere and living conditions.
