In the information explosion of modern society,international contacts and exchanges between the more and more,the history of education in the process of exchange among developing faster and faster,more and more historical comparative education has been an important international academic attention,in the history of comparative education comparative study of history education in China and the United States by the deep concern of scholars.In American history education as a reference,in the American education system and teaching philosophy than China under perfect circumstances,by comparing China and the United States we can feel the difference in educational philosophy and methods,and can give history teaching in China providing on reference and reference.In previous studies the history of comparative education,the domestic scholars research focused on comparative curriculum standards of history education,history teaching,history curricula,and teaching materials both for relatively comparing the researchers involved or less.This article will examine the case,taking the PEP high school history textbooks in China and the United States McGraw-Hill version of "World History" in the present version of the country are two highly representative of the high school history textbooks as study object,select the case studies I chose the teaching content of great historical significance in modern world history,"Enlightenment",through a comparative study in various fields,the two countries found to exist in the preparation of textbooks history education similarities and differences,the two countries saw differences in the teaching of history and the presence of the target through these differences in order to prepare our materials provide a valuable advice.In this article roughly divided into three parts introduction,text,references.Body part is divided into four parts: The first part of the Chinese PEP high school history textbooks and McGraw-Hill version of "World History" in textbook style,content,layout,text text,text auxiliary systems,historical select five levels of detail contrast.By comparing the differences between the two countries in the presence of the textbook,which focuses on China and on the lack of teaching materials prepared.According to the second part of the conclusion after comparing to shortcomings as the basis,make some practical recommendations and suggestions for the preparation of teaching materials.The third part to rewrite history textbooks a "Enlightenment" period.The fourth part is the full text of the conclusion.
