Civil Marriage Custom In The Northern Nomadic People

Succession marriage as a marriage system,its exisct-ence and development have relation to the etiquette system,legal system in this period.Succession marriage reflects th-e difference between northern nomadic people and Central P-lains in customs and etiquette.From the point of relations-hip between succession and lagal system,succession system reflect unique civil custom in northern nomadic people.This paper want to discuss the unique succession marriage in th-e northern nomadic people,including its substense,existing ressons,connection and difference with every nomadic peop-le,characteristic andvalue.This paper discusses succession marriage in some ty-pical northern nomadic people.From the Qin and Han Dynast-ies of the Huns,to the Wei Jin Southern and Northern Dyna s-ties Xianbei,to the Sui and Tang dynasties of the Turkic and Wushen,and then to the Song and Liao period of Khitan,and finally to the Ming and Qing Dynasties Mongolian and M-anchu,respectively discussing its substence,reasons and v-alue.Because the every ethnic has different custom,so the s-uccession marriage in ethnic has different custom.But nort-hern nomadic people has inheritance,so the succession marr-iage has commom point,the common point is succession marri-age sort.Taken together,succession marriage has two sorts,the one is same generation;the other one is different gener-ation marriage.Mongolian has the most outstanding nature in the northern nomadic people.
