| On the one hand,in the context of modernity,the traditional marriage system of the Yi people in Liangshan is being disintegrated and presented into a fragmented state.And it is being replaced by the marriage procedures and institutional arrangements in the national legal sense.Marriage is no longer a means of maintaining the ranks of the Yi family.Individuals and families are replacing the family and in a dominant position in marriage.The high cost of divorce creates an individual rational and cautious attitude of mate selection.On the other hand,the traditional marriage system of the Yi people in Liangshan has its deep roots in history and society,and some parts still play an important role until now.The author chose the "Structure ? Process ? Individual" and "Individual ?Action(Concept)? Structure" perspectives to analyze the reasons for the changes of the traditional marriage system of the Yi people in Liangshan.The "Structure ?Process ? Individual" analysis shows that modern population mobility is one of the key variables for deconstructing the traditional marriage system of the Yi people in Liangshan,and it also provides an opportunity for the time and space extension of the Liangshan Yi culture.The "Individual ? Action(Concept)? Structure" analysis shows that the subject of desire is also subject to emotional factors such as family,relatives,and pedigree while carrying out self-empowerment of marriage.In short,in the context of modernity,the Yi female migrant youth in Liangshan is rational in dealing with the traditional marriage system.The backward part of the traditional marriage system is being abandoned,while the excellent part is defended and retained.The criteria for judging excellence and backwardness are both including modern mainstream values and the traditional values of the Yi people in Liangshan.This is also the structural constraints,subject construction and institutional reproduction that the article has repeatedly emphasized. |
