Since the 1990’s,with the development of social economy,the number of rural primary and secondary students has decreased sharply.Education administration department,in order to solve the questions of losing students and integrating teaching resources,adjusted the layout of rural primary and secondary school—all the primary schools of the villages were merged to the towns,called central primary schools and all the secondary schools of the towns were merged to the county to become a new kind of boarding middle schools.The carrying out of the new policy led to some new problems,among which family-school cooperation is a prominent one.Although family-school cooperation is getting more and more attention and schools,especially families are realizing its importance,family-school cooperation isn’t going well in boarding schools.As for this new kind of boarding middle schools merged from towns to the county,there are always lots of family-school cooperation problems to be solved.This essay,based on the boarding middle school in the county where the writer works,does some research on the relationship between families and schools while they are cooperating,hoping it can be helpful to carry out the family-school cooperation in this new kind of boarding middle schools.This essay consists of four parts.The first part is the preface,which introduces the background and the origins of the research,the significance and some relative definitions of the research literature review,the targets,the contents and the methodology of the research.Part Two is an investigation of the principals in the family-school cooperation.The essay makes an analysis on the result of the questionnaire investigation and the interview to find out the family-school cooperation problems in this boarding middle school.Part Three analyzes the reasons that lead to these problems from two aspects,the investigating subjects-the school,teachers,parents,students and investigating objects-time,space,policies and laws and managerial systems and mechanisms.Part Four puts forward the ideal family-school cooperation on the basis of this new kind of boarding middle school and puts forward the new strategies to rebuild the relationship of family-school cooperation: 1.to enhance family-school cooperation awareness and establish its management organization 2.to set up “parents’ school” in school in order to improve the quality and the sense of participation of parents 3.to train the teachers’ cooperative skills between school and families to avoid the single inculcation and questionable cooperation 4.to open the classes on psychological health to solve students’ psychological problems 5.to organize colorful family-school cooperation activities and open up various ways of communication 6.to establish a good feedback mechanisms of family-school cooperation to ensure the cooperation effects.
