Research On The Value Evaluation And Operation Strategy Of Nanjing College Tennis Union Singles Tour

The Tennis Federation of Nanjing Universities, formed in March 2011, is the first sport organization established by college students themselves in Nanjing. During the recent 5 years, the members of the federation have increased to 43 in the session of 2014-2015, which covers all colleges and universities having tennis resource, while it only contained 15 tennis communities at the beginning. Meanwhile, the numbers of participants, the size of competitions, as well as the influences have all developed a lot both in single and tournament games. And now it has became the first choice for tennis-lovers in colleges to choose to exercise or enjoy the tennis.And this study explores the goal, the participants, the development of members connected with the competitions of The Tennis Federation of Nanjing Universities. The subject of this study is the single and the tour competitions of The Tennis Federation of Nanjing Universities. By the methods of documentary, questionnaire, interview, as well as the method of principal component analysis, the attitudes of 100 members toward the tennis competition are analyzed. In this study, a questionnaire is designed in 15 questions, each of which has 5 statements ("Totally agree", "Agree", "Not sure", "Disagree", "Totally disagree"). And the data is analyzed via SPSS, which gets 4 factors connected with the study:the value of spreading college culture, the value of promoting tennist, the value of developing tennis economy, and the value of perfecting the system of sports community.Through the investigation of the tennists and staffs, several problems emerges like paying too much attention to the size and the members while ignoring the competition itself. Such problems can always lead to more worse issues like the low-ability of the tennist, bad performance of the competition, low-profession of the staffs, the lack of stable sponsors, as well as other limitary facts. And in this study,10 experts in tennis are invited to provide advice on the running strategy of tennis competition with the help of the background information and the questionnaire. Through the Delphi Method, the experts reaches the agreement that the competitions of The Tennis Federation of Nanjing Universities should achieve the unity of management, standardization of the procedure, enrichment of the events, organization of the team, as well as the commercialization of competition. Only in this way can The Tennis Federation of Nanjing Universities make a greater progress in the future.
