In recent years, along with our country's basic education reformation, the middle school chemistry teaching is in the process of reform in addition to the emergence of many advanced concepts. As an important part of teaching materials of after-school exercise has undergone great changes, the types of exercises has growed, the function of exercises has changed, and the exercises teaching methods also has some changes. But through access to information found in textbooks compilation and setting of after-school exercise also has some defects, and the requirements of the new curriculum reform is still a certain gap.While the United States experienced several major chemical curriculum reform, has to mature, have a certain significance to our country's compilation of chemistry textbook exercises. Therefore, we can compare the Sino US high school chemistry textbook exercises, find out what we learn, let China exercises to keep up with the new curriculum reform pace.The present ordinary high school curriculum standard experiment textbook (PEP) chemistry compulsory 1 and compulsory 2 and the mainstream of American Chemistry Textbooks of translation ?Chemistry:concepts and Applications? two versions of textbooks as the object of study, mainly on textbook after-school exercise test to check the content, learning problem three aspects of types and quantity and the difficulty of exercises for statistical analysis, and according to the results of the comparison, draw some enlightenment and suggestions for the design of the textbook exercises.
