The inhibitory control function is a core component of the execution function that assist individuals in completing the activity,along with a variety of mental processes,and it is primarily responsible for suppressing or preventing information and behavior unrelated to the cognitive process ongoing.Zelazo had classified the inhibitory control function into the cold inhibitory control function and the hot,based on the physiological basis and the neural channel.The cold inhibitory control function is generally excited by abstract,contextual problem,which is a purely cognitive process,the hot inhibitory control function usually with comprehensively emotional involvement and requiring individuals to evaluate the emotional significance of the stimulus.Related research shows that the hearing impaired children are likely to have deficits on inhibitory control function,but there is no relevant research that has confirmed whether the cold and hot inhibitory control function of the the hearing impaired children are damaged? Therefore,we used a day-night Stroop task and a Go/Nogo task which were suitable for the hearing impaired children,the non-emotion materials and digital materials were used as the measurement materials for the cold inhibitory control function,and emotion materials were used to measure the hot inhibitory control function,respectively,to explore the cold and hot inhibitory control function of the hearing impaired children.Experiment 1 was a day-night Stroop task and it was experimentally designed as a 2×2 mixed experimental design.The experimental task is to let the subjects see the "sun" picture when the reaction for the "night",see the "moon" picture when the reaction for the "day".To test the inhibitory control ability of the subjects when responding to the consistent and dominanted stimulus.Experiment 2 was a Go / Nogo task and it was experimentally designed as a 2×2 mixed experimental design.The experimental task is divided into two stages,the first stage is a Go / Nogo task with digital materials,request the subjects to make a Go reaction when they see the number "II",and do not respond when they see other figures,in order to test the inhibitory ability of the subjects in the digital materials;the second stage is the Go / Nogo task of emotional materials,request the subjects to make a Go reaction when they see the expression picture,and the neutral expression does not respond,in order to test the inhibitory ability of the subjects to the dominant reactions under the emotional materials.we drawn some conclusions as following:(1)The performance of the hearing impaired children in the response time and the error rate are worse than the normal children,indicating that the overall inhibitory control ability of the hearing impaired children are damaged;(2)There was no significant difference in the response time and error rate between the hearing impaired children and the normal children in the cold inhibitory test,indicating that there was no obvious deficits in the cold inhibitory control function of the hearing impaired children;(3)There were significant differences in response time and error rate between the hearing impaired children and the normal children,and the response time and error rate of the hearing impaired children were significantly higher than those of normal children,indicating that the hearing impaired children's hot inhibitory control function were obvious damaged;(4)The hot and cold inhibitory control function of the hearing impaired children are independant.
