| Laos is one of Southeast Asia country, which is relatively backward, weak economic foundation, mainly agriculture and handicrafts, with historically been on the French protectorate make French education, especially basic education is weak. Since the 1980s, under the leadership of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party of Laos, the government implemented a series of effective education reform strategies and reform measures. At present, the Lao government is facing economic system reform, reform of basic education management system only conform to this trend of economic reform in order to indicate a new direction for the Laos education. Development of basic education management system in Laos experienced germination stage, early development and subsequent development period.
