Research interest in learning has been one of the hot spots of educational researches at home and abroad. Under the influence of "lifelong learning"and "people-oriented" philosophy of education, it is necessary to cultivate the interest of students in learning. Senior one is a critical period that connects junior high school and senior high school. Improving the fresh students'interest in learning chemistry in senior high school will contribute to improving the quality of chemistry teaching in senior high school, and is conducive to students'creativity and scientific literacy.This study is based on the relevant theories of education,such as Theory of Balanced Attitude, Maslow's hierarchy of needs, theory of constructivism. At the basis of the method of stratified sampling, a self-administered questionnaire is conducted for data collection of Senior Grade One students'interest in learning chemistry from three senior high schools which are different levels. And then, the survey is analyzed. The major fact or that influences students' interest in learning chemistry is analyzed according to investig ating results. Ultimately, combining with personal working experiences and understandings, the paper presents some thoughts and strategies for improving the fresh students'interest in learning chemistry.The survey found that:16.2% of the high school students have a special interest in chemistry, and 10.8% of students are not interested in the learning chemical, so most of the students are more interested in learning chemistry. The factors that affect the students'interest in learning chemistry are the individual factors and external factors of Students. Personal factors include personal needs, values, learning strategies; external factors include the school infrastructure, campus culture, family environment, teachers'teaching activities, etc..At the end of the paper, some strategies are put forward to improve the students' interest in chemistry learning. First of all, through enhancing the personal charm, teachers can establish a harmonious relationship with students;second teachers should pay attention to cultivate self confidence of the students; third, teachers need to elaborately prepare lessons to increase the interesting in chemistry classroom, for example,combining with some interesting stories, and chemical knowledge of the game to attract students' attention and curiosity and improve students' interest in learning chemistry. At the end of the paper, the author provides two teaching cases, and some chemistry games, which can be used as a reference for the first line of chemistry teachers to improve the quality of teaching, and make a contribution to the basic education reform.
