The revolution of the basic education courses in China is nowpropelled in a healthy and comprehensive order with new coursescoming into the classrooms and schools. It has been proved bypractice that it makes big differences whether with or without thelearning interest. Today, with the advance of the revolution of theChemistry courses, we need to solve problems such as how to let theChemistry course more involved in the colorful social life, how todevelop and draw upon the existing life experiences of the students,how to ignite the students’ learning interest and how to lead them tostudy spontaneously. The key to address all these problems is to arousestudents’ learning interest, which is more important for those who havelearning difficulties. There are findings both home and abroad that oneof the main reasons for the learning difficulties is the lacking of interests.Therefore, how to raise the learning interests of those students and helpthem getting rid of this shadow are important theory and task thepsychology and education institutions nowadays are facing. Also, I willfurther explore this topic in this context.This article will be divided into five parts:Part I: By consulting various documents, it clarified the implicationsof situation teaching and underachieved students, and summed up thecurrent situation of situation teaching in the high school classrooms.Part II: Set up the study method and the research subjects based onthe research purposes.Part III: Carry out an all round analysis on the current learninginterests of the research subject, the underachieved students, and lay asolid foundation for observing the variation of the students’ learninginterest after the situation education theory is adopted.Part IV: To design the situation education method based on the types of knowledge in high school Chemistry course and the new bookand practice, so as to activate the learning interest of underachievedstudents and to summarize the experiences from that.Part V: Through comparing the score changes after the studentsreceived situation teaching method and the questionnaire of theirlearning interests, to sum up and raise problems regarding the furtherstudy and analysis of this teaching methodology.In conclusion, this article is intended to summarize how the situationteaching can effect on the underachieved students in order toactivate their interest in learning chemistry, and make students willing tolearn and enjoy in their learning process.
