The rapid development of Internet has profoundly influenced family intergenerational relationships and behaviors.Taking research on the reverse socialization of Internet use in family is of great significance.This article is based on the depth interview data of 11 family groups,using the method of grounded theory analysis of reverse socialization in the field of Internet use for research.This research aims to explore the causes,the content and the methods of reverse socialization,generational differences,parent’s psychological evolution process and its influence to intergenerational relations.This Study found that the occurrence of reverse socialization is based on the inter-generational relations of mutual expectations,intergenerational digital divide,the types of parent-child relationship and the parents’ attitude towards the Internet use.The mutual expectation of intergenerational relations is an important factor for reverse socialization to happen.Reverse socialization process shows obvious differences in gender and intergenerational cognition:parents expressed more reality orientation to reverse intergenerational study(emphasizes the harvest,and mutual benefit,etc.),and their children get more subjective experience and harvest in a psychological level(psychological satisfaction).Parents’psychological evolution process is from resistance to fusion,and turn out to be four types:resist,contradiction,setback and harmony.Reverse socialization has a positive effect in maintaining the intergenerational relationships,but has produced another generation gap at the same time.Through the establishment of the triangle model,the research finally tries to analyze:parents and their children,the inter-generational relations as the environment,and the relationship of the reverse intergenerational learning behavior,the essay explains the dynamical process of reverse socialization.This paper provides a new direction and support in the field of family research,which helps to operate effective family education,and to maintain and develop good intergenerational relations. |
