| With the development of forestry and the great changes in production mode in China which include the rapid development and iterative update of spatial information technologies such as space remote sensing, geographic information system, global positioning system (GPS) and CAT(computer application technology) etc., the target and way of corresponding modern forestry technical talents training should also be changed.Through literature review method and case study method, this research mainly analyzes the primary technological means development of forestry investigation, planning and design and the theoretical research status of participation degree of students at home and abroad. It then designs scientific, reasonable and valid questionnaires with combination of reality, and conducts questionnaire survey on the degree of participation in cultivation of forestry investigation planning and design ability of students major in forestry (vocational education) undergraduate. This paper also adopts Likert sacle, five level of grading method and mathematical statistics method to organize, count up and analyze the survey data in order to further achieve the evaluation and analysis on cultivation quality of forestry investigation planning and design ability of colleges and universities and formulates the evaluation index system form conforms to forestry (vocational education) major forestry investigation planning and design ability cultivation quality to realize quantitative evaluation on forestry(vocational education) major forestry investigation planning and design ability cultivation quality.In this paper, the main conclusions include the following points:(1) In general, students’ degree of participation in all dimensions is not high. Through the statistical analysis, the comprehensive total score of students’ degree of participation of forestry (vocational education) undergraduate major is 43.7086; the degree of participation in "aspect of the cultivation of professional skills and comprehensive abilities" is especially the lowest with score of only 38.3788, while that in aspect of "student-student (?)(2) There are differences in students’ degree of participation at each dimension in forestry investigation planning and design ability cultivation of different individual characteristics. As for the gender, boys’ degree of participation in social practice, student-student interaction, teacher-student interaction is higher than that of girls. As for the grade, the overall participation degree of students in grade 2013 is the highest. Among them, on professional knowledge and comprehensive ability training the participation degree of students in grade 2010 is the highest, while on social practice and student-student interaction, the participation degree of students in grade 2013 is the highest. As for the source of students (urban and rural background), the participation degree of urban students on social practice and student-student interaction, teacher-student interaction is higher than rural students, while the participation degree of rural students on professional skills training and communication between teacher-students is higher than that of urban students. On aspects of parents’ level of education, on social practice, student-student interaction and teacher-student interaction, the participation degree of students whose both parents haven’t received higher education is lower than students whose both parents both have or either has received higher education, while on cultivation of professional skills and comprehensive abilities, as for this, the difference is not very big.(3) Students’ degree of satisfaction on school has a significant influence on their degree of participation. Through the analysis of the questionnaire and data statistics, the mean value of students’ score of degree of satisfaction is 43.4955. The construction of campus hardware facilities has a certain active influence on student-student interaction; the construction of school practice base, development of the professional skills competition and other activities and supply of practice opportunities for second class investigation or planning design projects have a significant active influence on students’ participation in social practice;(4) The school’s emphasis on students’ life service quality also influences students’ participation degree in course study and extra-curricular activities. In general, as for the recognition level aspect of forestry vocational education faculty in colleges and universities, the students’ degree of satisfaction on recognition level of forestry vocational education major is not high.Through the evaluation index system it can not only monitor the students’ learning outcomes effectively, but it can also be promoted to other majors or a wider range through similar ways. It is possible to use this system to do bench marking analysis or comparison analysis with other majors, other colleges and universities to promote colleges and universities to improve and perfect their own cultivation mechanism and finally be beneficial to the promotion of cultivation quality of high educational talents in our country. |
