Communication is an inevitable way for people to be socialized.Excellent communicative ability is not innate.It needs to be trained and consummated in various practicing activities.Nowadays,one's communicative ability is a valuable resource.For many parents,the training of children's communicative skills is to start from an early age.In this way,students can deal with different conditions in further study and life.Thus,training students' communicative ability and meeting their needs for friendship and study are the important requirement for the all-round development and the socialization of primary school students.Students' communicative ability is pupils' relatively stable level of characteristic when they interact with peers,teachers and relatives inside and outside school.Primary school English teaching content is based on daily conversation,which is conducive to organize students to communicate with peers in class.As a new teaching form,situational approach pays attention to students' actual needs,and it creates the good learning atmosphere by using all kinds of favorable materials.It will stimulate students'learning interests,so that students can use the language to express their own thoughts.Then,teaching activities will be carried out successfully.In primary school English teaching processes,teaching with designed situation can help students master the language points,so as to understand better and express fluently,which is good for developing communicative skills and promoting quality education.Combining with the present teaching condition in Gusu District of Suzhou,this paper,which is based on situational approach and questionnaire survey method,analyzes the present situation of students' communicative ability and the existing problems.It also explores the strategies that situational approach improves students'communicative ability.The paper tries to put forward the implement strategies that situational approach promotes pupils' communicative ability.In primary English classes,creating teaching situation reasonably will not only activate learning atmosphere,stimulate students' learning interests,improve students' pragmatic abilities,but also advance students to activate the language in activities and use correctly in real life.The paper hopes to promote students to apply the language flexibly through the construction of English situational class for students to interact.
